Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has said the national election will take place between December this year and June next year.
Muhammad Yunus made the announcement in a televised address to the nation on Tuesday (March 25) evening.
He said, “Our responsibility is to ensure transparency in the entire process and hold the election accordingly.”
“As I mentioned earlier, the election will be held between December this year and June next year.”
He emphasized that the upcoming election should be the most free, fair, and credible in Bangladesh’s history.
The Election Commission has already started preparations, and political parties are expected to engage in the process with enthusiasm, he added.
