Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has warned that false information is being spread to mislead people and destabilize the country, urging the nation to counter conspiracies by fugitive forces.
He said this while addressing the nation on Tuesday (March 25) to convey greetings on the occasion of Independence Day and Eid-ul-Fitr.
The collective unity of the people is troubling these forces, who are trying to break it using deceptive strategies, he said.
Chief Adviser stressed the need for awareness to stop rumors and foil conspiracies.
He underscored that since the interim government took office, false information has been widely spread through media and social platforms in an attempt to create instability. Fake images, manipulated content, and misleading narratives are being used to distort facts, and such activities are expected to intensify as the election approaches.
