Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that all election-related activities, including the parliamentary boundary demarcation, are advancing steadily ahead of the upcoming national polls.

Speaking at a post-Eid gathering at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Sunday (April 6), the CEC praised officials for their swift and efficient work, particularly in completing the complex task of voter registration in a short timeframe.

"You have achieved what many thought impossible," the CEC told officials. "The work you are doing is commendable."

He emphasized that the Election Commission has been regularly updating the government on each step of the electoral process. 

"All activities, from voter list updates to NID services and constituency delimitation, are progressing well," he said.

All four Election Commissioners, the EC's Senior Secretary, and senior officials, attended the event.

With the national election expected in December, the EC has already ramped up its preparations, ensuring administrative and logistical processes are on track.
