Various political parties, educational institutions and social organizations in Bangladesh have expressed solidarity with the global strike program to protest the barbaric genocide of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
Protest programs began at various places nationwide on Monday (April 7) morning.
Several organizations, including Jamaat-e-Islami, Jatiya Nagorik Party, Islami Andolan, Hefazat-e-Islam, Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Shibir, Bangladesh Ganotantrik Chhatra Sansad, and Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, have already announced their programs in solidarity with Palestine.
Earlier, the national and Islamic forces of Palestine called for a strike across Palestine in a statement and called for it to be observed globally. Since then, various organizations have expressed solidarity with the program.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Unit of the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) will hold a protest march at 5 pm on Monday against Israel's aggression in Gaza and India's Waqf Amendment Bill proposal.
The protest will start before the Shahbagh National Museum in the capital.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami has called for a nationwide protest march against the genocide. Jamaat's Dhaka Metropolitan North branch will hold a protest march in Mohakhali at 4 pm, and Jamaat's Dhaka Metropolitan South branch will hold a protest march in Baitul Mukarram at 5 pm.
A protest march will be held in front of the Raju Sculpture of Dhaka University at 4 pm. Meanwhile, Chhatra Shibir has called for a nationwide 'Global Strike for Gaza' program in support of Palestine.
Students from various schools, colleges, and private universities have called for the protest program. At the same time, a protest program has been called in front of the ULAB and IUBAT campuses.
A protest program is expected to be held at the Jatrabari intersection around noon under the banner of General Alem Samaj. In addition, a protest march has been called in front of North South University today under the initiative of Sammilita Private Universities.
The National Ulama Mashaikh Aima Parishad has called for a protest procession at the gate of Baitul Mukarram after the Zuhr prayers.
The Khelafate Majlis has organized a program in front of the National Press Club at 3:30 pm. There is a protest program at Mirpur 10 No. Golchattar at 4 pm.
On Sunday, the Chhatra Dal strongly condemned the barbaric massacre of Israel in Gaza and Rafah, Palestine, and expressed solidarity with Palestine.
The party will hold a sit-in program at 10:30 am on April 8 in front of all educational institutions in the country.
