Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki said today (April 8) that Dhaka University (DU) would decide whether to change the name of the Mangal Shobhajatra of Pahela Boishakh or Nabobarsho.
 
He also said: "A meeting will be held at Dhaka University on April 10 where a decision will be taken in this regard... the DU authorities will announce the decision in a press briefing after the meeting."

The adviser was responding to a question from journalists after a meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Dhaka.

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury presided over the meeting on law and order issues ahead of the celebration of Bengali New Year 1432.
