DHAKA: Renowned Indian music composer AR Rahman made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also Awami League president, on Tuesday evening.
Oscar awarded singer AR Rahman met with the PM at her official Ganobhaban residence on Tuesday evening.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of PM, Sheikh Rehena’s son Radwan Mujib Siddique and his wife Peppi Siddique, Bangladesh Ccricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papon were among others present at the meeting.
Sheikh Hasina’s Special Assistant Mahbubul Haque Shakil told banglanews that they discussed the sub-continental music during the parley.
PM appreciated the role of AR Rahman in introducing the music of this subcontinent to global arena.
AR Rahman came to Dhaka to perform at the opening ceremony of the ICC T20 World Cup here on March 13 along with Akon and Miles.
