BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has emphasized the urgent need to restore democracy and people’s voting rights in Bangladesh "at any cost."
Speaking virtually today from London during a workshop with party members from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, and Panchagarh, he said denying democratic rights will hinder the nation’s progress.
Highlighting BNP’s 31-point proposal, Rahman claimed it was made despite pressure from the ruling Awami League and vowed its implementation if BNP returns to power with public support.
He said BNP has done 70 percent of the good deeds in the country and only BNP will be able to do the best for the countrymen if it comes to power.
