A chamber judge of the Appellate Division today suspended the High Court's bail order for Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote and a former leader of ISKCON, in a sedition case.

Justice Md Rezaul Haque issued the suspension following a petition filed by Advocate-on-record Helal Amin on behalf of the state earlier in the day.

Earlier, the High Court had granted bail to Chinmoy after a hearing on his petition. The sedition case was filed on October 31 last year, over alleged disrespect to the national flag during a rally in Chattogram.
