The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds in most parts of the country until June 3.
The weather may start to warm slightly from June 2 onward.
According to a 24-hour forecast issued at 9 am on Friday, rain is expected in most areas of Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Many areas of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions may also experience showers.
Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in some places, especially in the central and southeastern regions.
The southwest monsoon has advanced over Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Rangpur divisions, bringing seasonal rains across the region.
The highest temperature recorded on Thursday was 33.2°C in Tetulia, while the lowest temperature today was 23.8°C in Bandarban.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:41 pm today and rise at 5:11 am tomorrow.
