RAJSHAHI: District Motor Sramik Union called indefinite transport strike in the district from Thursday morning demanding release of five truck drivers imprisoned at Rajshahi jail.
President of District Motor Sramik Union Kamal Hossain Robi confirmed the matter to banglanews on Wednesday evening.
Robi said, “We called the strike as we did not get any response from the authorities though they reiterated about compromise.”
He added: “We are proclaiming the matter at Rajshahi Central Bus Stand area.”
