2 bodies recovered in Uttara

DHAKA: Police recovered two dead bodies from Uttara area of the capital from Friday night to Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Imran Hossain, 17, hailed from Uttarkhan and Ismail Khandakar, 62, hailed from Abdullahpur.

Dakkhinkhan Thana Sub-Inspector Nizam Uddin told banglanews that Imran’s body was recovered from Balur Math of Joradia Bridge area on Saturday morning.

Imran might be killed over illegal relation with his cousin’s wife, the SI added.

Police said that Imran’s body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy and he was missing since March 13.

In another incident, Uttara Thana police recovered a body of an elderly man named Ismail Khandakar from Beribadh area on Friday night.

Uttara Thana Sub-Inspector Salah Uddin said that Ismail sustained injury during a quarrel with his neighbor Nurnahar and Nawab Ali centering setting up shanty in Shikder slum. Later he was rushed to a local hospital where doctor declared him dead.
