FROM NATIONAL PARADE SQUARE: Anybody can avail the opportunity of becoming a part of history by joining the chorus of the program ‘Lakho Kanthe Sonar Bangla’-country’s National Anthem to be sung on the 44th National Independence and National Day at National Parade Square in the city.
The program was taken up by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in cooperation of Bangladesh Armed forces and with the object writing the name of Bangladesh in ‘Guinness Book of World Records’.
On March 26, this arrangement will remain open to all. The entry will begin at 6:00am. The cultural program will begin at 9:00am and continue till 12:00 noon. The main event, the National Anthem will be sung in Lakho Kanthey (millons’ voice). There will be full proof security arrangement.
On Saturday morning Provost Marshall Brigadier General Sharafat Hossain disclosed this information at National parade ground.
The officers of the 9th division and DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed were also present in the function.
Sharafat Hossain also informed that the main object of program is to include the name of Guinness Book of World Records. The first 3-lakh within the National parade ground will get the chance in the assembly.
If anyone reaches within 8:00am, no one more will get the chance rather they will sing at their places of choice.
Lieutenant Colonel Kamrul Hassan told that the first 300,000 will be here the excess people can take part standing at Roqeya Sharani. He informed that before the main program there will be rehearse of the National anthem at the parade ground under the supervision of Shilpakala Academy.
The people outside the capital will get the chance of becoming a part of history by participating at the same chorus program organized by the district and upazilla administrations.
The cultural ministry has already sent necessary instructions to district and upazilla administrations in this regard. Alongside the people at 11 a.m. can sing the anthem at their respective institutions.This program will also be observed at the foreign missions abroad for the expatriate Bangladeshis.
At the preliminary stage in the chorus of singing National anthem the members of the armed forces, the students of schools, colleges, universities, various professionals including the garment workers. To ensure correct presentation of the anthem one CD with standard tune and notations has been sent to the concerned institutions including districts and upazillas.
To be imbued with national spirit meanwhile several initiatives have been taken through social contacts. So far 47 thousand 730 followers have said ‘yes’ (www.facebook.com/Lakho Kanthe).
Moreover 81 thousand 390 persons visited the website www.Lakho Kanthe.com after it was introduced. The standard tune of the National anthem was also uploaded.
