CHITTAGONG: A freedom fighter was killed as a train knocked him down in Baryarhat area under Jorarganj Thana of Mirersarai upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, 57.

Witnesses said a Dhaka-bound train knocked the victim while he was trying to cross the rail-track around 12:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot.  

Officer-in-Charge of Jorarganj Thana SM Liakat Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
