Bus kills 4 in front of Shahjalal

DHAKA:   Four people including a woman were killed and several others injured when a passenger bus ran over them in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport of the city Wednesday morning.

The accident took place at 10:30am.

Three of the deceased were identified as Abdul Kudus, head helper of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, of Comilla, Bilkis Begum of West Gularbagh of the city, and Tajuddin while identity of the other could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said the driver of a passenger bus of Zabale Noor lost control over the steering all of a sudden and crushed into the Southern walkway of the Airport intersection, killing a woman and two men on spot.

Several other passengers and pedestrians also sustained injures there.

Later, an unidentified person succumbed to his injures at Combined Military Hospital of the city.

Airport Police Station Officer-In-Charge Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
