DHAKA: Prime Minster Sheikh Hasian emphasized importance on regional cooperation and developing communications among the South and South-East Asian countries.
She also underscored economic development for the people among the regions by establishing communications and strengthening cooperation.
The premier made the plea in a meeting with Chan Heng Wing, Singapore’s non-resident high commissioner to Bangladesh at her office in city on Thursday.
Sheikh Hasina said economic development in South and South-East Asia would be faster if mutual cooperation increases among the countries of these regions.
During the parley, Chan Heng Wing thanked the premier as she reelected and expressed hope that Bangladesh would move forward by using Singapore’s experiences in its economic success.
He also ensured the prime minister with all sorts of cooperation.
The non-resident high commissioner conveyed Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s greetings to Bangladesh premier.
