DHAKA: BNP Standing Committee member Gayeswar Chandra Roy termed Jatiya Sangshad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury immature in running JS session.

He came up with the comment while addressing a human chain in front of Press Club in the city protesting the ‘propaganda’ against former President Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia in and outside of the parliament.

The BNP leader said, “If the speaker were mature enough then she would protest the invective of ruling party leaders in the JS session in absence of BNP.”

He also claimed that Ziaur Rahman led the proclamation of independence as the ‘first Acting President of the country’ during 1971.

He further criticized the activities of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman during Liberation War.

Gayeswar also said that the people who don’t recognize Ziaur Rahman as first President they ignore the Liberation War. The country is not ruling by safe hands which may create harm to mass people of the country, he warned.
