Two young men, estimated to be around 25 years old, were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway early Thursday (October 2) morning.
The incident occurred around 6 am on Kanchpur Bridge, according to Md. Julhas Uddin, officer-in-charge of Shimrail Highway Police.
Md. Julhas Uddin said that one truck was towing a broken-down vehicle toward Dhaka when it became stuck on the divider.
It is believed that the two truck drivers had stepped onto the road at that moment, and were run over by an unidentified vehicle, resulting in their deaths.
However, the victims’ identities are yet to be confirmed.
