Police have arrested 983 people across the country in the past 24 hours as part of an ongoing special drive to restore law and order.

According to a press release, among those detained, 605 were warrant convicts while 378 were accused in various cases.

During the operation, police also recovered a dagger, a three-quarter LG, three cartridges, and two pipe guns.

The special drive continues to ensure public safety and curb criminal activities, officials said.
