DHAKA: The High Court on Monday summoned BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy to appear before it on April 20 to explain his “derogatory comment” on the court.

An HC bench comprising Kazi Rezaul Haque and Justice ABM Altaf Hossain passed the suo motu order.

On Sunday, the BNP leader made comment that Judge Court, High Court, and Supreme Court–all the courts are confined in pocket of Mujib Coat and none will get justice if the pocket is not torn.

He made the comment at a human chain programme in front of the National Press Club organized by Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).
