SYLHET: A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by Indian aborigine (Khasia) in Gowainghat area of Bisnakandi frontier of the district on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 25.

Officer-in-Charge of Gowainghat Thana Abdul Hye told banglanews: “The youth went to the area to collect fire wood around 2:30pm then Indian aborigine opened fire aiming him, leaving dead on the spot.”

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) took away the body, he added.
