CHITTAGONG: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road crash in Srimai Bridge area under Patiya upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Taiab Ali, 45 and Munshi Mia, 40, hailed from Uttar Joara area of Chandanaish upazila.

Sources said the accident took place when a Pickup knocked a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 7:00am, leaving the two dead and three others injured.

Confirming the matter Patiya Thana Sub-Inspector Murshida told banglanews, “The injured were sent to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital.”
