No deal on Myanmar Humanitarian Corridor: Khalilur Rahman National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman

National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman amid countrywide discussion over ‘Humanitarian Corridor’ to Myanmar said, the government has not signed any agreement or understanding.

Khalilur also High Representative on Rohingya Issues said, nothing else just a primary discussion was held regarding ‘Humanitarian Corridor’ to Myanmar for the delivery of relief to Myanmar's Rakhine.

He made these remarks in a seminar organized at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on issue of Rohingya repatriation.

Khalilur Rahman as a special guest present at the seminar said, a fake narrative is being spread that Bangladesh would fight a proxy war for the America against the Arakan Army.

Speaking as the chief guest at the seminar, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain said that the only solution is not the integration of the Rohingyas, but their repatriation.

“They have to go back, but not by force. But it is not right to be too optimistic about the repatriation of the Rohingyas,” he said.

He also said that crises like the Rohingyas are resolved not peacefully, but through conflict. History says so.

Jahangirnagar University Professor Dr. Shahab Enam Khan presented the main paper at the seminar. Former Ambassador M Humayun Kabir, Professor Ataur Rahman Talukder, researcher Abu Saleh Muhammad Yusuf, among others, also participated in the discussion.
