DHAKA: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim on Tuesday said the government is set to open information center at every public hospital.
The health minister also said to provide information to the journalists and others, a spokesperson also would be appointed for every government hospital.
Besides, an act is going to be formed so that patient’s caregivers and doctors do not be sufferers at hospital, he added.
Nasim made the disclosure in a meeting with Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) leaders and journalist leaders at his secretariat office in evening.
He also said the ministry has formed three separate committees to investigate into three different incidents taken place at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Mitford Hospital and at BIRDEM.
Patients, their caretakers and journalists were assaulted by some intern doctors at BIRDEM, Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital and Rajshahi Medical College Hospital recently.
Later, doctors also called strike, which caused sufferings for the patients.
Following these, the health minister spoke with doctors and journalists leaders to resolve the matter.
BMA and health ministry would bear the cost of the treatment of the wounded journalists and they would also be compensated, he added.
