GAZIPUR: Three alleged thieves were killed in a lynch-mob action at Sohadia village under Sreepur upazila of the district early Saturday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that a gang of thieves tried to flee after stealing a motorcycle from the area in the morning.

Sensing their presence, local people gathered and chased the thieves.

After a hot chase, angry mob managed to catch three thieves and gave them a good beating, leaving them dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Sreepur Thana Mohsinul Kader confirmed the matter to banglanews.
