DHAKA: Bhutanese Ambassador to Dhaka Bangladesh Aum Pema Choden paid a courtesy call on foreign ministry secretary Shahidul Islam in the city on Sunday.

During their call, the ambassador asserted the secretary that she would work on enhancing the bilateral relation between two countries.

Ministry sources said Aum, on behalf of Bhutanese king Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, thanked the government and the people of Bangladesh.

Aum, who presented her credentials to President Abdul Hamid on April 23, is the 11th ambassador to Bangladesh.
