MOULVIBAZAR: Three members of a family were killed after a landslide in Shahbajpur tea garden area under Barolekha upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rajesh, 35, Manju, 30 and their one-year old daughter.

Sources said that around 8:30am, big chunks of earth from a hill fell on a shanty of one Rajesh located in the area when it was raining in the area, leaving the three dead on the spot. 

Confirming the matter, Barolekha Thana Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Akbar Hossain told banglanews, “The bodies were sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue.”
