RANGPUR: A man and his son were killed and injured his wife in a road accident in the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Raushanujjaman, 50, headmaster of Durgapur School and his son Shuvo, 10.

Witnesses and police sources said that riding motorbike the man along with his wife-son was going to meet elder son at Rangpur Cadet College around 6:30am. 

On their way, a speedy truck ran over a motorbike carrying the three in the area around 6:30am, leaving the two dead on the spot and victim’s wife injured critically. 

Later, injured Shahnaj Begum was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

District Detective Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
