DHAKA: A youth was electrocuted in city’s Eskaton area during heavy rainfalls on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Jabbar, 18, son of Abdul Quader Molla, hailed from Bakerganj of Barisal district.

The deceased’s cousin told banglanews that Jabbar, who came to visit their house a few days ago, was electrocuted Tuesday afternoon at their house.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctor declared him dead.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue.
