DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be given VIP status at Passport Office in city’s Agargaon area though does not get any government privileges.

A competent source in the office confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The Passport and Immigration Office sources said though Khaleda Zia is neither in power nor even opposition leader but will treat as a VIP because she is the chief of BNP, one of the leading political figures of the country.

Samsuddin Didar, Media Wing Member of Khaleda Zia, said that Khaleda Zia is likely to reach the passport office in Agargaon around 4:00pm, for Machine Readable Passport.

Khaleda Zia will be given special privileges from the passport office, officials added.
