NOAKHALI: A patrol team of south zone coast guard seized 142 kilogram meat of deer from Launch Ghat area of Hatia Upazila in the district on Thursday morning.

Sources said that acting on tip off that a gang of poachers are carrying deer meat, coast guards conducted a drive in the area around 11:00am and seized the meat from a fish basket.

Confirming the matter, Coast Guard South Zone Operation Officer Lieutenant Rakib-Ul-Hasan told banglanews, “The seized meat was handed over with Hatia Thana.”
