‘RAB should be reformed, not abolished’

DHAKA: Security analysts (retd) Mohammad Ali Shikdar categorically said that the person who committed offense can be punished, but not the organization he works. 

He came up with the assertion while addressing a round table meet organized by East West Media Group in city on 10:30am. 

Mohammad Ali said: “Though RAB earned so many bad reputations during last ten years, but country will become a Taliban state if it is abolished. So, for the betterment, RAB should be reformed, not disband.” 

He also said that police forces have ten times more bad reputations than RAB.

Editor of the Daily Kalerkantho Imdadul Haq Milon, Constitution Specialist Dr Shahdin Malik, Ex-VC of CU Prof. Dr Abdul Mannan, Former Minister and freedom fighter Colonel (retd) Jafar Imam Bir Bikram, Jatiya Party Presidium Member Kazi Firoj Rashid among others were present in the meeting.
