SYLHET: Intern nurses returned to their hall after being assured about punishment of the alleged intern doctors at MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital (MAG OMCH) on Thursday night.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Ishak Ali, representative of the nurses, said that they have postponed their demonstrations after a meeting with the probe committee.

He said that the committee ensured the nurses that the doctors, who beat up the victim nurse, will be punished within this week.

Earlier, nurses had conversed with three members of the committee for one and half an hour long from the evening 7:30pm, he added.

The probe committee was formed and began working from Tuesday as the interns doctors beat up a nurse of the hospital on Monday, leaving him critically injured, which brought back-to-back confrontation between them.
