DHAKA: Two people were killed and five others injured in a head on collision between a truck and a microbus in Baliarpur area under Savar Upazila of the district on Saturday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Savar thana Officer-in-Charge Mostafa Kamal said that a Savar-bound microbus collided head-on with a truck around 8:00am, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and injured others.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the bodies, the OC added.

The injured were admitted to Savar Enam Medical College Hospital.

The microbus was totally wrecked in the accident.
