4 missing BGB men in Naikkhangchari deep forest

BANDARBAN: The missing four members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was in deep forest in Dochhary-Painchhary frontier of Naikkhangchari, said BGB sources.

They went missing in a gunfight with Myanmar Border Police (BGP, former NASAKA) on Friday.

The missing personnel are Habildar Motaleb, Lance-Naik Baten, Shipahi Jahangir and Aminul of BGB-31 Battalion.

The BGB members were deployed in the area to avoid further unwanted situation.

On Friday, BGP exchanged fire with BGB in Naikkhangchari frontier near international pillar no-52 at Panchhari border after BGP denied handing over the body of BGB member, whom they shot dead on Wednesday after abduction.
