NARSINGDI: Three children drowned in the Brahmaputra River at Chorpara village in Manohardi upazila Friday afternoon.
The dead are Munni, 9, daughter of Habib Bhuiyan, Yasin, 7, son of Amjad Hossain and Rabeya, 7, daughter of Ali Newaz.
Witnesses said some 15 children of Doulatpur Chorpara village were taking bath in the river at about 1:30pm. At one stage of bathing, the three children drowned.
People from nearby area recovered the bodies and rushed to Manohardi Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead.
