BD youth gunned down by BSF

BENAPOLE: A Bangladeshi cattle trader was shot dead by Indian Border Security force (BSF) along Agrabhulot frontier in the district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Parvez, 21, son of Sujan Master of Agrabhulot village.

Locals said BSF members of Jahodanga frontier in India opened fire targeting the Bangladeshi traders while they were crossing the Ichamati river around 6:30am, leaving Parvez shot injured.

Later, Parvez succumbed to his injuries on the way to his home.

Confirming the matter, Subedar Shamsur Rahman of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Goga Camp said they were protesting against the killing.
