FENI: In a latest development in Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul killing case, police arrested another accused, who incepted the car of Ekramul, from Birinchi area of the district town on Sunday night.

The detainee is Saiful Islam Papan, 17.

Confirming the matter, Feni Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Mahbub Morshed told banglanews, “According to the information disclosed by detained Arman Hossain Kaisar and others, law enforcers, in a drive, held him around 11:00pm.”

Creating blockade by putting a trash trolley before Ekram’s car, the detainee Papan joined in the killing mission, OC added.

Earlier on May 20, in a cinematic style, miscreants shot Ekramul, the upazila Awami League president, and burnt to death at his own car in front of Bilashi Cinema in Academy area of the district town.
