DHAKA: Darryl Lau, Consul of Singapore to Bangladesh, during a visit to East West Media Group (EWMGL) Tuesday, considered Bangladesh the “second economic partner of his country”.

He also said that Bangladesh is one of the economy powers of Asia and its relation with Singapore is fantastic. Last year, the trade between the two countries was three billion US dollar. 

Darryl Lau made the disclosure in a view exchange meeting with Bashundhara Group Additional Managing Director Safwan Sobhan and officials of the Group.

Terming human resource of Bangladesh ‘best wealth’, he added that this resource should have been used properly. Singapore market is open for Bangladeshi workers, he added.

EWMGL advisor Abu Taiyab, Editor-in-Chief of Banglanews24.com Alamgir Hossain, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon, Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naeem Nizam and Editor of the Daily Sun Amir Hossain, among others, were present in the programme.

Later Darryl Lau paid a visit to four media houses of EWMGL.
