GAZIPUR: Hundreds of students barricaded Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Tangi area after a kindergarten student was killed in a road accident there on Tuesday.

The protesters also set ablaze a covered van and a pick-up van on fire in the area around 12:15 pm. 

Earlier, a student of Tangi Safiuddin Sarkar Kindergarten was killed when a vehicle run over him around 12:00 pm.

Though, the identity of the victim could not be known immediately. 

Ismail Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Tangi Police station confirmed the matter to banglanews.
