TANGAIL: For a sudden accident at Rosulpur of Kalihati upazila of the district which claimed one live caused a 40km-long tailback on Dhaka-Tangail highway from Wednesday morning and thousands of people stuck there for hours.
Victim passengers said the tailback has begun around 7:15am when a truck collided head-on with a lorry, leaving Apan, 28, driver of the lorry dead on the spot.
Alenga police outpost sub-inspector Shariful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
This was continuing till 10:50am leaving a few thousand buses and trucks along with passengers stranded on the highway.
