DHAKA: A fire broke out at a leather factory in-front of Hazaribagh Thana in city Thursday.

Fire Service and Civil Defense control room Officer-in-Charge M Enayet said, “Excess heat of a machine caused the fire at the factory on the fifth floor of the 4-storey Chuydhury Bhaban in the area around 12:25pm.”

On information, two fire fighting units rushed in and brought the flame under control after two hours effort.

No causality was reported but the fire burnt to ashes the machineries and lather goods at the factory, said Enayet.
