DHAKA: Police handed over the bodies of the deceased, who were burnt to death at Kalshi Bihari Camp in city’s Pallabi area, to the administration on Saturday afternoon for autopsy.
Confirming the matter to banglanews, Shaik Yusuf Harun, deputy commissioner of Dhaka, said that the bodies would be handed over to their relatives.
Sources said that police brought out the bodies in sack around 3:15pm from the camp with police pickup, while earlier the relatives of the deceased didn’t allow law enforcers to go there.
Early in the day, at least 10 people, including four members of a family, were burnt to death when two groups of Bihari locked into clashes at that area over blasting fire crackers on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
Dhaka deputy commissioner said that families of the deceased will get TK. 20,000 for each; meanwhile the administration will also help them recover the situation.
