DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of veteran photo journalist Jahirul Haque.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said through his death, the nation has lost a brave and devoted journalist.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Earlier in the morning, veteran photo journalist Jahirul Haque passed away at Institute Of Liver And Biliary Sciences Hospital in New Delhi of India.

He was 71.
