DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid her deep condolence in the death of noted essayist, philosopher, columnist and littérateur Sardar Fazlul Karim. 

In a condolence message the premier said nation has lost an icon in literature and philosophy in Karim’s death. 

She sought eternal peace of the departed soul and paid deep sympathy to the bereaved family.  

Sardar Fazlul Karim breathed his last in the capital’s Samarita Hospital around 12:45am Sunday.   

He was 89.
