DHAKA: The body of noted essayist, philosopher, columnist and littérateur Sardar Fazlul Karim was taken at the premises of Bangla Academy in city on Sunday noon.
Earlier, the body was kept at the office of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) around 12:30pm where Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Professor Anisuzzaman and others paid tribute to him.
Later, he will be buried at Azimpur graveyard after Namaz-e-Janaza at Dhaka University central mosque.
Sardar Fazlul Karim, 89, breathed his last at capital’s Samarita Hospital at 12:45am Sunday.
