DHAKA: A delegation of US embassy to Dhaka visited the Bihari camp at Kalshi in city's Mirpur area on Monday morning.
The team went to the spot around 10:30am and talked to the victims and relatives of the incidents.
Earlier on Friday, ten people, including six member of a family, were burnt to death when two groups of Bihari locked into clashes at Kalshi in the area over blasting fireworks on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
The detainees were- Bebi Aktar, 45, her daughter-in-law Jayeda, her two daughters Shahana, 25, Afsana, 18, Bebi’s son Ashik, 20, Shahan’s son Adil, 10, and Farzana, 15, twins Lalu, 8, Bhulu, 8.
Later, another one named Azad died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. On the other hand, the bodies were buried at Kalshi graveyard after Namaz-e-Janaza in Bihari camp Baitur Rahmat mosque around 11:45pm Sunday.
Pallabi Thana Officer-in-Charge Syed Ziauzzaman told banglanews, “Police were deployed in the area to avoid untoward situations.”
