Standing committee stresses bring Nur Hossain back

FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Home on Wednesday put emphasis on taking effective steps to bring Nur Hossain, prime accused of sensational seven-murder at Narayanganj, back to the country soon.

The committee also emphasized on recovering the image of the government by bringing everyone involved with the killing under trial.

The committee put emphasis on the matter in its meeting at the parliament in the noon.

Chairman of the committee Tipu Munshi told journalists after the meeting that it might take some time to bring Nur Hossain back to country because he was arrested in India and they would interrogate him.

He added: “We have urged the Foreign Ministry to take steps to bring him back quickly.”

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, M Mozammel Hossain, Shamsul Haque Tuku, Omar Faruk Chowdhury, Abul Kalam Azad, Abu Sayeed Al Mahamud Swapan, Fakhrul Imam and Begum Quamrun Nahar Chowdhury were also present at the meeting.

On June 14 (Saturday) night, Nur Hossain along with his five aides was arrested during a special drive of a team of Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Kolkata police led by ACP Animesh Sarkar from near Suvash Chandra Airport of Kolkata.
