DHAKA: ‘Teaser’ of cricket star Shakib AL Hasan’s wife was granted bail on Thursday afternoon.

Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Tanzina Ismail granted the bail order of Rahid signing a bail bond of Tk 10000 when Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukder pleaded for the bail.

General Recording Officer (GRO) Mashiur Rahman of the respective police station confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier in the day, Rahid, 23, was picked up from his residence.

On Sunday, several youths teased Shakib’s wife Umme Ahmed Shishir at the gallery of the Mirpur National Cricket Stadium during the first ODI match between Bangladesh and India. 

Later, security guards of Bangladesh Cricket Board beat the youths.

The star also joined in beating in person too.

Following the incident, Shakib filed a case with Mirpur Thana under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
