NARAYANGANJ: Thousands of passengers got stuck on Dhaka-Sylhet highway Monday as a 30km tailback was created on the highway in Rupganj area of the district due to heavy traffic and dilapidated roads.
Vehicular movement came to a halt from Golakandail Chaurasta area to Koshab area on the highway around 6:00pm, due to the pressure of vehicles.
Hundreds of vehicles got stuck and a large number of people are facing immense sufferings in the area.
In-Charge of Bhulta Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Rabiul Islam said that additional law enforcers are trying to make vehicular movements normal.
