FENI: A 22-killomiter-long traffic gridlock on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway pushed thousands of passengers into serious sufferings on Thursday.

The tailback created around 7:00 am which was unchanged until 2:30 pm till filing the report. 

Sources said this gridlock was created as the construction work of Four Lane project on the highway is underway and for upcoming weekend.

Abdullah Al Faisal, a passenger of the route, said “I set off for Chittagong 6 hours earlier and have stuck in the jam. I don’t know when the jam would remove.”

Officer-in-charge of Feni Mahipal Police outpost ASM Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
